Thule 898001 Hullavator Pro - Lift Assist Kayak Carrier

The Thule 898 Hullavator Pro is a lift-assisted kayak carrier that allows side-of-vehicle loading and strapping of the boat. The 898 Hullavator Pro uses gas struts to aid you in lifting a kayak up to a vehicle's roof, taking 40 pounds of the load so that you can easily guide the boat up to the roof. Using simple release handles, the Hullavator disengages from its secure roof rack base, allowing you to pull down against the gas struts and lock the carrier in place for easy kayak loading. The kayak can then be secured to the carrier using included heavy duty nylon straps and ratcheting QuickDraw bow and stern tie-downs. This complete single kayak carrying system is the easiest and simplest loading solution on the market.



Compared to the previous generation Thule 897XT Hullavator, the new 898 Hullavator Pro has more custom mounting hardware to different styles of bar, and uses less manual safety pin hardware when lowering the carrier. The 898 Hullavator Pro fits Thule bar racks (rectangular load bars, oval Aero bars, wing-shaped AeroBlade bars, and Xsporter bars), Yakima round bar racks, and many Thule load bar-equivalent aftermarket bars.
