Yakima BaseLine Towers - For vehicles with naked roofs

The Yakima 8000146 BaseLine Towers are designed for use on vehicles with a naked or bare roof and are part of Yakima's new StreamLine roof rack series. If your vehicle is not equipped with a factory installed roof rack, side rails, tracks, or fixed point mounting hardware than this is the product for you.

The Yakima BaseLine Towers are used in combination with a set of Yakima JetStream Aero Bars or Yakima CoreBars, sold separately, and 2 sets of vehicle specific Yakima BaseClips, sold separately, to create a roof rack system which will clip inside the door of your vehicle. Yakima RoundBars can also be used with the BaseLine Towers with the use of the 8003536 StreamLine Roundbar Adapter Kit.

Custom, secure, streamline fit

The BaseLine Towers utilize Yakima's unique bi-axial DropHook clip adjustment to ensure a custom, secure, and streamline fit.The Yakima BarBed Pitch Adjustment allows for 12 degrees of adjustment giving you the ability to easily adjust the pitch of the crossbar to keep them level on vehicles with a curved roof line. Toe adjustments also change the angle of the BaseLine Towers for a perfect fit on vehicles with scalloped roof shapes. To make sure you tighten your rack down to the exact tension level, a pre-calibrated torque driver is included with the BaseLine Towers

Stainless steel construction

The BaseLine Towers are designed and constructed from stainless steel, glass reinforced nylon, and elastomer padding to ensure strength and longevity.

Locks available

The BaseLine Towers can be locked to your vehicle by purchasing a Yakima 4-Pack of Locks. The locks prevent someone from removing the rack from your vehicle. This is especially important if you are carrying bikes or a cargo box as it prevents theft of your gear.
