SportRack SR4885 Upshift Plus Roof Mounted Upright Bike Carrier

The SportRack Upshift Plus SR4885 is a solid upright bike carrier with an easy clamp design at a great price. The Upshift Plus is able to carry a wide range of different styled frames without removing your front tire, making it quick and efficient for loading and unloading your bike.

Auto-adjusting jaws hold your frame

A handle on the SR4885 opens and closes a rubber coated jaw around the frame of your bike. The jaws are self-adjusting and fit around bike frames up to 3 3/8" in diameter. The handle can be mounted towards either the driver or passenger side of the vehicle during installation for ease of use.

Works with many different bikes

Most conventional bikes with metal or aluminum frames will work with the Upshift Plus assuming the frame is not to wide for the jaws to physically clamp around your frame. Two plastic ratcheting wheel straps hold down the front and back wheel, and can be adjusted along the length of the tray to fit different wheelbases of bikes (tandems and recumbent bikes are not compatible). Wheels up to 2.6" wide are compatible.

Multiple bar mounting options

The Upshift Plus comes with rigid steel mounting brackets that work out of the box with Thule square bars, Yakima round bars, and the majority of factory crossbars.

Security

The Upshift Plus includes a built in lock cylinder directly into the clamping arm. This prevents someone from being able to release your bike from the rack if they were trying to steal it.
