Yakima OverNOut 8 Awning - Formerly SlimShady 8

The Yakima SlimShady 8' is the largest size in Yakima's awning line designed to fit vans, SUVs, and Overlanding vehicles. The SlimShady is a roof mounted car top awning designed to give you protection from the sun and rain. The SlimShady uses your vehicles roof rack as the base to support itself. Yakima designed the SlimShady with lightweight, polyurethane coated 420D nylon fabric. It uses universal crossbar hardware clamps to attach on to most existing crossbar systems with ease.

Perfect for tailgating and camping

The SlimShady deploys from the side of your vehicle to give you 64 square feet of coverage. The awning pulls out window shade style for easy deployment.

Stows compact to save space

Your roof rack is still completely usable with the SlimShady installed. The awning and support poles fold into a compact, narrow carrying case when not deployed.

Universal crossbar compatibility

Yakima's universal SpinVice attachment hardware provides a strong rubberized grip that you tension with the use of an integrated T-handled bolt. These clamps are similar in design to Yakima's excellent roof top bike and boat options - no loose U-bolts or wingnuts to lose.

Comes locking to your roof rack

The SlimShady locks at the attachment hardware using included Yakima SKS lock cores. These can be keyed alike to your Yakima base rack or other carriers.
