Yakima CBX 16 Solar

The Yakima CBX Solar 16 is a premium roof top cargo box with 16 cubic feet of cargo capacity. The CBX Solar rooftop cargo box blends modern aesthetics with an integrated solar panel capable of delivering a 53Watt / 9.5-volt output. The CBX Solar includes 2 USB ports and provides enough juice for a small campsite without draining the power from your vehicle. The Solar works great to charge phones, tablets, camping lanterns and action cameras.

The CBX 16 gives you the ability to carry up to 185 cm skis while providing you with improved hatch clearance, this allows you to fit a larger box onto a smaller vehicle.The CBX features an all-new textured surface that raises the aesthetics of the cargo box game.

Universal mounting hardware

The CBX utilizes an easy to operate mounting system which is designed to fit onto Yakima bars, Thule roof racks, as well as most factory installed crossbars systems. Unlike other boxes on the market the CBX has a removable torque knob to tighten the box onto your crossbars. Once the box is secure this knob can be removed creating a smooth, flat interior for superior gear storage without mounting hardware getting in the way of your gear.

Integrated Solar Panel

The rugged solar panel is designed and tested to withstand road travel and is bonded directly to the cargo box lid.

Dual side opening

The CBX is a dual side opening making it easy to load and unload from both sides of your vehicle. This also helps with the installation of the box as you can easily access the mounting hardware from either side without needing to climb up your vehicle.

Optimized hatch clearance

The CBX utilizes a longer track system for the mounting hardware allowing you to fit a larger box on your vehicle without worrying about contacting the rear hatch and limiting access to your rear hatch.
